Our Story
As with many moms, when our bodies carry life, changes occur that we didn’t expect, at times… that we never wanted to see happen. When I carried my oldest child in my womb, my body reacted as I imagined it would, as in an “ideal world”, but then in 2011 came my ” troublemaker “, my little princess. In addition to the joy of being a mom for a second time, my princess gave me stretch marks, many stretch marks! Seeing my body transform like this was the trigger for me.
Did I tell you?
I am Canadian, of African descent. Finding natural solutions to our beauty problems is part of our African history and especially that of my family. To tell you the truth, at home, natural solutions came first. So it was a reflex for me to look for natural solutions when I saw these stretch marks appearing on my body, which I did not want to erase, but simply to attenuate. Then, from the idea of reducing my stretch marks, a more global vision was born: to help everyone, no matter who you are, to take care of yourself by trusting in the treasures that nature offers us.
Why SIKA Cosmetique?
My little “troublemaker” that I mentioned above, we named it Sika which means “Gold” in my husband’s native language. Why name my brand gold? Simply because my “troublemaker” was my inspiration and especially because I am convinced that we all deserve to take care of ourselves in the most natural way possible. I offer you products that I use on a daily basis with my little family. I do it because I am sure that taking care of yourself, naturally, is worth it.
